Conversion Factor Escape Room

Area 2 MUST DO Option C  |  Metric Conversions & Dimensional Analysis  |  MAFS.912.N-Q.1.1 ยท N-Q.1.3

The Scenario: The equipment cabinet is locked and you have clues to crack. Each lock needs a 3-digit code that only a correct unit conversion will reveal. Solve each conversion, build the code exactly as the clue describes, and unlock all five locks. When all five are open you will read the five-number combination to your teacher to unlock the cabinet.

Start: 15:00

Type your conversion chain (factors as fractions, units canceling) before entering each code. The code checker only accepts the code once you have written a chain. Press Enter in a code box to try it.

Reflection (turn in with your codes): Which lock was the easiest to set up wrong, and what clue (unit size) helped you catch it? Write two sentences about the trick to building a conversion factor correctly.

After completing the escape room, record your codes and reflection to turn in, per your teacher's instructions.
